How to get more owners of 968 to the forum
#1

I was just talking to a new friend of mine Jim Green who I met thru the forum here in the Portland Oregon area, where we have so few members. We are going to write an email to all the Porsche repair shops asking them to forward our short note to their owners of 968's. telling them of the forum. We can only hope that more owners will come out of the woodwork and join us. Perhaps everyone should do the same in their own area. There are many owners of these cars that are not in the forum. This I know as a fact as none of the local shops told me that he works on about a dozen 968's but their are only 4 or 6 of us in the entire state of Oregon.

lol - well, for starters, that's just GREAT!!! anything anybody can do to alert others to this resource is nothing but helpful and beneficial to all

as an obvious plug, as a booster, supporter or advocate, you get business cards you can leave on cars you find that have your screen name, name, or whatever you want, along with the site info - (plug plug)

other than that, it just remains up to the members to get out there and funnel people here - we do what we can with local events and such to try to get others to come see us, but it is really hard to reach those who don't know about us

beware of mentioning this site on other sites - there are a couple of people who just can't stand the idea of this site existing at all - you may find yourself on the outs if you mention it on the wrong site - that being said, feel free to contact whomever you wish, and you are always welcome here, no matter if you become a pariah elsewhere or not

I was at a PCA Concours show not too long ago. I'm now in a different chapter since i moved upstate, NY. Two other 968 owners were there, both choose not to participate in any forums (one even has several RS Barn/Design 1 Parts on his ride).
