Interior Color Codes
#1

I would like to replace some pieces of the interior, but am having a difficult time locating the correct blue. I've seen Cobalt Blue, Midnight Blue and Marine Blue. I can't seem to locate "SW" for interior colors. I have a 92 and some of the blues in PET are indicated pre-93 and 94 and on. Any info would be helpful. I've included my option sticker.

You could call PCNA and ask them by VIN. They should be able to tell you. Don't let them force you into getting the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity to get the answer.

Just a shot.

I had the same problem with my car. I called the dealer and they could not be specific.

www.leatherworldtech.com

has a color chart you can look at, or they will color match a piece if you send it to them.

I redid the leather work in pieces and was amazed at how well the colors matched (took the console lid off and sprayed it, console trim was exactly right)

They also have a mender that I used to fix a tear in the Driver's seat and touch up some cracks.. needless to say, I'm very happy with the results.

Thanks Guys!

I'll keep searching...

Jay, I also have a small tear on the drivers side bolster and only a few small dash cracks that don't bother me too much, so I appreciate the info on the leather repair kit place...I've wondered about the results from those so I may give that a try. More importantly was the gearshift boot leather. I've seen lots of DIY kits but only in black, brown and red. Prestige has a blue but they don't elaborate. I guess I could put black in but I really like the blue/black combination. Look forward to seeing you in Newtown in May.

We went through a similar exercise trying to replace our Cobalt Blue gearshift boot with aftermarket kits but couldn't get an off-the-shelf colour to match. We ended buying the genuine article for about GBP160 which included the whole shift assembly (for a 6-speed). In hindsight we should have had the existing boot refurbished by a leather specialist.

Check with AGLA in Florida. I bought my Marine Blue shift boot from them and it was a very good color match ...

UPDATE...

I just found this sticker on the back of the carpeting in the drivers' side trunk area...it was on the side (verticle) above the wheel area - NOT under the spare tire area. My carpet glue has come undone and detached from under the truck seal which is how I found it. Not sure if it would be worth it to unglue your carpet, but low and behold, there is was. Hopefully it will be of aid to the rest of us trying to ID interior color codes.

*Note - the background carpet is not Marine Blue, but that of my office floor. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/tongue.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />
