The seller says amaranth, but I haven't ever seen this purple before. I've seen the metallic amethyst but not this one. Does anyone else have this color?

There are three cars with the color "amaranth violet" registered at the registry here at this site.
So that means the color name is probably genuine, and since I've never seen that color before, I'd say the person is correct.
Ask him to email you the color code...then you can verify it.

Yes, it is T3 Amaranth Violet. This was a standard, no cost paint option on the MY 94-95 968s. It is a solid, royal purple. I like it, many don't. I have four cabs in my cab registry that are that color.
