Interesting 968 on ebay
#1

*****Check out this 968 on ebay (Item number: 4610260548)******

Anyone on the West Coast know this car? Or seller? Almost sounds too good to be true.

Any feedback would be welcomed!

that mileage makes me a little bit nervous - belts still would have needed to be done by now, and hoses and such are suspect - basically anything rubber - having a car sit like that doesn't really do it a favor - i'd feel a lot better if it had another 7-10k on it, but changing out the rubber stuff isn't that big of a deal

looks extremely clean though, and hence the buy it now price - he's not gonna let it go cheap - if the above stuff checks out, it looks like one heck of a car

it's pretty much the kind of thing i was looking for 2 years ago

I thought it was Russ's old car before I realized not a coupe and the engine bay wasn't blinged out. Wrong color combo for me and I agree black seats don't work for me in a drop top.

No significant options (M030 or 220) and a Cab on top of it. Not even 17" wheels! Yeah, I know you can't get M030 in a drop top.

Just another low mileage 968 Cab turd...I bet the good doctor bought this for his wife right before she ran off with the tennis instructor.

Oh yeah the BIN price of $29K has me gasping for air ...

side note - the ebay description asserts it's the best example in the country, period ! well, that's a pretty absolute statement and subject to ridicule regardless of how nice the car may be.. certainly amusing. Ok, the benefit of the doubt : a beautiful sample of a cab for sure, but I can't imagine anything out there which could even hold a candle to Russ' old car, now Bo's ( still ? ) prize possession..

By turd Cab, I'm referring to both the car and the owner's assertion that the car is unique for being a "Cab" and having low mileage while making other presumptuous and ridiculous statements worthy of me calling the owner a turd.

Most years of 968 production had the cab and coupe models in nearly equal numbers, making a Cab no more rare than a coupe. However, significant options like M030 and 220 or sunroof delete on coupes are truly rare and unique options.

I presume from your response that you must be a Cab driver. Sorry to offend you. I have nothing against Cab's and in fact have first hand seat time in a very nice Cab in the SoCal area that sets a new standard for tastefully tricked out 968's. Had me making similar changes to my car...need an almost new dual mass flywheel?

Lets remember our diversity and inclusion training. We love all things 968. Whole cars and 1/2 cars alike.

Oh, I wasn't offended you just seemed a little grumpy. Had you said that about one of the cab's I recently looked at it would have been a perfectly accurate statement as it was beat to crap cosmetically. I am guessing this one is just about perfect cosmetically.

Clean example, but no way he gets that price.

Especially since it will need some work due to the lack of driving.
