I received the owners manual with purchase but only had maintenance history till 95. The vin # is -WP0AA2969PS820077. I read about a registry but don't know where to look? I was misinformed by seller that I could get history of the Porsche through orsche North America. When I called them I was told they do not list any history at all. They told me I had to know the dealer that the previous owner went to. I purchased the car from the man who brought it from the original owner and he didn't have any info. Thanks so much

He maintains a 968 registry on an excel document.

Go to "MY Contols" and send his a message.

He may have your 968 registered.

If you want some maintenance history, you can go to any Porsche dealer and make friends with the service manager and have him type in your vin # and print out the service history of the car.



It won't be complete, but at least it will reflect what was done at a Porsche dealer.

Dear Hot968,



You maybe able to find that Porsche Dealer info on your car via the Net at Suncoast Motorsports. - http://e-partssales.com -



Go to the URL then look at the left margin and click on Vin #. This will bring up an e-mail to send to Suncoast. I tried it and they sent me recall and maint history on my car. I asked an additional question and again they responded with a prompt answer.



This comes from their full page ad in Excellence - Nov 2005. I will certainly try them for parts at my next purchase. Good Luck.

Hot968 - For what it's worth, you have the 17th coupe in sequence made for the '93 American market. Porsche kept the serial numbers through 0060 for internal use. Cars for sale to the pucblic started at 0061.



Also, contacting Jeff968 is an excellent idea. He has a very thorough registry.



You can try contacting RedBaron on this list too, as he is extremely active in recruiting and funneling information to the PCA 968 Registry. He may be able to track down some things about your car too.
