Hi everyone,



New here and hoping to buy my 1st 968 next week.I've owned Porsches of various models over the last 15 years and currently own a 1988 944 Lux and a 1980 924 Turbo.



The 968 I'm looking to buy is currently owned by a friend and its a UK spec Sport model in black. My next post will hopefully include pictures of my latest purchase along side my current models.

Ah, blow it out 'yer bagpipe Andy, see what you guys started now ?! ( just kidding of course, I need to set up what follows, LOL )

Now the Catalans and the Basques are setting up the regions for a separatist vote, the Corsicans are moving toward the same initiative,

Flemish are marking noise again ( Philippe's chiming in here is required on that topic ) , some parts of Northern Italy ( Veneto ) are thinking along the same lines, Sicilians wont't be far behind , though the life is much slower in the south, so that could take a while.., Bavarians want a separate country also, Bosnia claims Herzegovina requires too many letters to be embossed on tne national flag, so they're moving toward separation, Russia ( aka the Soviet Union ) still has roughly 35 separate nationalities which all want their own country, the majority of which will end in some " stan " or another..and that's just on the continent. In South America , Argentinians still very confused as to why they are perceived a Germans with Italian last names who speak Spanish, and pretend they're British are voting to split the country in four factions and annex three of them to Germany, Italy, and UK , respectively .. And here at home, legislators in California are proposing splitting into six states ( seriously, that one is no joke ) . Not sure what that will accomplish , but as a Californian my response to that is : " what-ever ". :-). Up north Quebec is talking separation again and next thing you know , the rest of Canada will want to secede from the U.S . :-) :-)

No sir, I won't even think of going there. Flash and Jay would have to rent more diskspace to store all the stories of political nonsense going on. Lucky for me, the TV has an "off" switch if it starts all over again. Great entertainment for the rest of the world though ;-)

Yeah, that was a disaster - what were we thinking ?! After all peace is overrated , and the country should have voted all republican so the " tide turning " would take a direct route back to the 7th century the GOP lives in . Hey, maybe if the next president is republican we'll have better success negotiating with ISIS; both parties have the aforementioned era about which they romanticize so it may be a good starting point.

No, I'm not a democrat believe it or not ..that party deserves plenty of blame as well, I just think there are far more extremists that dominate the GOP than their counterparts in the Dems faction.

I always wondered why I never joined a party. Maybe because upon joining, you WILL get personal and robo calls for money. Maybe because in the U.S, "professional politician" has become one of the lowliest careers we could ever imagine. Oh darn, I forget my high school training about what a remarkable, honorable, ethical country we have. I should have gone to MBA school in high school, to really learn how the country works. Did you know that something like 5 of the 7 wealthiest counties in the US are around Wash. DC - Virginia - Maryland? In high school I thought "join a party" meant "toga-time"!!!!! Oh well, at least politicians and useless prescription drug companies are the reason we have TV.



I've been through a lot of Europe, mostly western Europe, and a bit of the near east, mostly personal, some business. But there are about 3 places I would love to see, they are all northern. Ask my wife, Scotland is really high on the list of place I would like to see and get to know the people -- as they would allow. I do wish the best to all the Scots, may you have a wonderful future.

Just one last point, Prime Minister Cameron said we would get more devolution of power if we stay in and guess what he's back pedalling already by saying it has to be done at the same time as devolution for English(!) regions outside London at the same time! My arse is sore already! I voted for independence by the way. Cheers.

I read the voter turnout was huge ( 90 % + ). Andy and his compatriots would have the true numbers though , we can't believe much of anything we read here.. I also think ( JMHO ) those who voted to remain part of the UK did so mostly because fear of the unknown . Comfort level with the status quo no matter how flawed it may be seems to dominate human nature; how else do we explain that our congress has had the lowest approval rating in the history of this nation, and come election time 95 % of the same members are voted in once again ?!! " Ah, the old adage " better the devil you know... " appears to win almost every single time. Ugh.
