Potential new owner from Scotland
#1

Hi all,

New to the forum and if all goes well I will be a new 968 owner in a few days.

I am new to 968's but not new to Porsche. I have owned a number of 911's and currently race a 1982 911.

I am based in Scotland.

First ask- what is the best book(s) to buy ?

Is there a good workshop manual equivalent to the Bentley for 911's.

Welcome,

Enjoy the site.

While workshop manuals can certainly help, a number of our members use information from Clarke's Garage. https://www.clarks-garage.com/

Regards,

Hi Mc, you can buy a manual, but you will get more complete "real world" advice here on this site.  You will discover, I've not long been a member, that there's no ranting and plenty of good information.  Have fun, and look at the advice for new owners ASAP .... I bought one with imminent belt failure, some don't seem to understand that one moment your car is running fine and the next rotation it's toast.  As they say .... "timing is everything" Smile

You can find a manual for the 968 here.

www.pdlibrary.co.uk

You will also need a few 944 manuals to as they are referred to a lot

But welcome along there are plenty of 968 owners north of the border
