Right chaps been having sloppy gear changes of late and the problem was the bolt that connects to the gearselector shaft, previous owner must of bodged it up, used wrong bolt and it was not sitting in the indentation properly on the shaft, anyhow ordered new bolt, now the gear lever sits too far forward in the car, cant see how to adjust the angle to pull the lever back, when its in 2nd gear it looks right for neutral, tried sliding the plate that holds the lever bearing in but its still to far forward, any ideas anyone, cheers chris.

maybe PO made some adjustments on the rear shift linkage to compensate...?
