Headlight Openings
#1

A thread on Rennlist got me thinking about removing the headlight assemblies...

If they are removed, can you use the Driver's side for a cold air intake; and can you use the Passenger side to vent more air to the oil cooler?

Wouldn't be for a street car, of course...but for those who only drive on the track, would this be a possibility?

you can on the driver side - it will take a bit more work because you will need to open up the sheet metal in there a bit, but it can defintely be done

the passenger side won't help though - however, you could install a larger oil cooler or a secondary one and put it there

Why open up even more drag inducing holes? The oil cooler is already fully exposed to incoming air. Opening a place for air to exit behind the cooler may be helpful. There is already unused space in lower grill in front of the driver's side front wheel that could be used for an intake.

i don't think i would want my air intake that low - the track is hot, the hotter air will rob youof power, the dust and crap is a lot more present, and the intake tube would be long, which would also rob you

the drag thing is an issue though, and you would need to close off the unused area - this may likley be a rules issue too
