The bypass is simply a work around to override what the manufacture has put in place. Typically there just a few steps laid out in an instructions sheet. E-bayers are cashing in on what someone else figured out and posted for free.

At least that’s true of the Avic’s.

What is the silver knobby thingy on the right of the central locking button? Actually I am noticing many buttons that didn't live there when your car left the factory, or is this a cab thing?

lol - i moved some things around - there is a "switch switching" thread that talks about it - basically i moved the mirror selector switch to up by the mirror controller, and moved the window switches down to the console (like every other car)

i also moved the fog light switch down to the console where i can actually access it without contortionist moves

the knob is the subwoofer level controller of the rockford fosgate 3sixty2 equalizer/processor - it allows me to easily and quickly raise or lower the output levels of the sub output which drives 2 profile 400 amps, each of which drive a jl audio 8" driver in a custom designed .35 cu ft sealed chamber

Looks good and the switches on the console make a lot of sense, but tell me, once finished will the head unit sit flush in the console?

the faceplate is very thick (over .5") so it sits forward just a bit more than others

but it's the only single din nav system that does not require the face to pop out and up and cover the heater controls
