Is it a "Hans" brand or some other manufacture?

I will need one Charles but I'm not sure of the sizes and would have to check this out before committing. I would think it will be gone before I can do the research though.
On another note, what's up with you selling all your racing stuff? Sorry if I missed this but I hope all is ok. I appreciated your input over the last few years.

[Eventually the cat was going to come out of the bag so I guess I will have to be the one to go ahead and let him out. This story is on going and will surely have many happy endings. My last race was in September 07 at the mid ohio national championship and ended with a slow spinning 911 parking it in my lane. I must have slowed my car down to 10 mph but I still could not avoid him. I had no where to go and just clip him on my driver side fender edge. It damaged the fender and the bumper and I parked the car in my garage hoping to make a speedy return.

Meanwhile, My then 5 year old son (YEAR 2007)...Yes...My 5 year old son was asking me was it his turn to have a shot at racing. Well I kinda said...what could it hurt. So I bought him a quarter midget oval track go kart and signed us up at the local track hear in Atlanta. At the time I did not realize that we would jump both feet in and compete in 40 races that year.

Now, two years later, my son is being scouted by a few Nascar Junior league teams and a few big name fortune 100 sponsors are watching him as well (GOOGLE "AUSTIN GEER" to read articles written about my son)

Now, we all remember what happened to Pablo, He built that nice 968 with the help of Pete at RS Barn just to have an A Arm failure that totaled his car.

Well I'm happy to report that my car will soon hit the track again in the hands of our friend Pablo as he recently bought my car and is repairing the fender and bumper to better than new condition.

Although I did not expect to sell my car I am glad that Pablo, a true 968 enthusiast and racer was able to buy it. With this money my son is getting a brand new quarter midget racer built for him right now as we speak. He is also getting a brand new enclosed trailer so that we can travel the country racing in high level karting competition.

As for the Hans, It will fit any adult who weighing 165 lbs and above. I will be happy to send it to you for a test fit if you would like.

Kindly,

Charles Geer

Charles, that's a great story and thanks for sharing it. Wish you and your son great success on what sounds like a rapidly escalating career.

Good to hear that your old car is being put to use by someone you know will be using it in your favoured field. Look forward to seeing Pablo's progress.

Alas, I am in Australia so a trial fitting won't really be an option but thanks for the kind offer.

That is completely AWESOME!

Your racer couldn't have gone to a better owner and your son's story is just great. Best of luck and keep us informed.

WOW - great on all ends. Best of luck.

(after Googling)

He's quite the young man. He's going to have to beat away sponsors and the ladies - watch out.

Thanks for the kind words from all coming my way.

Charles has been phenomenal, and through many conversations and communications that started early in the year, he truly demonstrated how he really wanted to get his podium winning race car under me, and get us both back on the track. I can't thank him enough for ultimately taking the path that saw me picking up his gorgeous ride a couple of weekends ago intead of alternate options he certainly had. The motivation to keep the race car in the family and in capable hands (sorry for self ego stroking plug) spoke louder than anything else. Charles has been a loyal supporter since day one. Someday I look forward to pass the same karma forward, but today, I look forward to stepping up to the plate and have her running up front again.

Above all, I am excited to have been a positive and facilitating influence on Austin's NASCAR racing career. I very much look forward to seeing him live soon, and getting some "Austin Geer Racing" decals for the 968 and my truck.

Now... someone buy this Hans... it is a steal!

Happy New Year to all!!!!

Charles, I am still interested in the HANS. Just looking at this from a local retailer, they suggest model numbers as HANS 20o for Sedan type cars. Does yours have any sort of model number? Also they say that there is a Medium and Large size and this is based on neck or shirt size. They advocate a Medium for me as I fall between a 15" - 18.5" neck size. Does this correlate to your version?

If you wish you can PM me.

Regards

[The Hans Device is manufactured down the street from my house at a place called Downing Atlanta. I bought mines direct from Robert Downing who was once an IMSA Mazda road racer. He along with a bio chemist invented this device after having a close friend die at a test at Mid Ohio Road Coarse

Your sizing chart is correct.

I wear a size 17 shirt and this device fits me nice and snug. I am 6' 1" height and weigh 210 lbs.]

Charles

Looks like I may have run into a few obstacles, so I am more likely going to have to pass on this for now. Sorry for the inconvenience.
