What is a good fire extinguisher to install for DE and where to buy it?
I am looking for low weight and functional unit, not necessarily the top of the line. Are there units that can be attached to existing mounting points, e.g., underneath the seats?

I bought a 5-lb halon unit off eBay and had it topped off locally by a guy who replenishes fire exthingishers. There's Halon and "Son of Halon" I don't know what he used.
I know of 2 928s that have gone up in flames due to gas fires under the hood.

is there enough space underneath the seats? Seems to me like there's only about 1.5" clearance down there.

Flash,
I checked
www.ioportracing.com and they seem to have several racing fire extinguishers available. The cheapest 3lb Halon unit retails for ~$280, but there is a dry chemical unit (soda), that retails under $40 with a mounting strap. Is Halon necessary or dry chemical also O'k to use?
