Does anybody know how much our power seats weights? Im thinking about changing the factory seats to the carbon GT3 seats. Here is a pix of the seats i am considering.

Very nice! I'm sorry, I don't know how much the stock power seats weigh (I think it's in the high forty pound range). Do you know how much the GT3 seats you're considering weigh? Where did you find them, and how much are they asking?



As I do more and more track days with my car, I'm considering some grippier, lighter seats down the road myself. Although, I must say, the stock 968 sport seats do a decent job of supporting me for stock seats.

The seats weights 14lbs each. The price which includes the brackets and sliders range from $1,299 to $1,499 plus $150 for shipping for the pair. I found them in my favorite store called ebay... he he he. There are couple of company selling them. Just do a search for "porsche gt3 seats".

the factory 8 way power seat is 54.5lbs complete



the factory 4 way power seat is 51lbs complete



the 14.5lbs i am sure does not inclue tracks or hardware - i believe the gt3 seat is about 30lbs complete with manual tracks and about 35lbs with power tracks

My is 4 way power seat, and it weight 21.5kg with everything. I am restore my 968 and install Recaro SPG with leather, and it weight 10kg which including seat, side plate, runner, screws, spacers, washes.
