Greetings from Florida
#1

Purchased a 92 Guards Red Coupe a month or so ago as an upgrade to a 90 944S2 Cab as a daily driver. I also have an 87 930, an all original one owner 67 912 and a few older 911s in various stages of restoration. Wanted the Coupe as a solid DD, plus I do some AX and wanted the stiffer body, plus really tired of chasing leaks. Did settle on the Tip, but when in manual mode is not so bad. In the process of going through the car and getting it the way I want it. New Tensioner Pads, new Hawk HPS brakes, new Rotors, new ASH billet engine mounts, new Koni Sport shocks/struts all around, new suspension bushings. I do have the low RPM vibration and a clicking noise coming from underneath when starting and stopping in drive. It just started. Smooth as silk in Reverse. Will read more and see if it is a common failure. Worried about the damper. Hopefully it is not coming apart. Originally thought it was passenger side engine mount giving up the ghost as it is pretty shot. Will swap out the mounts this weekend and the shocks and see if it is still there. Anyway, looking forward to reading up on everyones prior experience and hopefully sharing some of my own.

Welcome to the site. Take some time and poke around at the different areas. The site is organized in categories so as to keep similar topics grouped together and make it easy to search, like an encyclopedia.

Please feel free to start a thread about your problem in the "What is that noise?" area. This area is only for introductions, and we don't want a possible solution, that somebody might be looking for later, to be in the wrong area and be missed.
