Hallo from Miamisburg Ohio and Venice Florida
#1

I have been the owner of a garage queen 1994 968 Cab.  White with Blue interior.  The car is kept in Ohio and only driven sparingly in the summer as I head to Florida as soon as the weather hits 40 degrees!  Ha Ha.  Recently retired and started to do some cosmetic and light mechanical work on the car and wanted to join the 968 Forum.  I was a member years ago, so long ago, that I was using a defunct email address.  The 968 Forum always provided good information in the past.

The car has 44K miles and is completely stock. Trying to link a photo but not much success.

Welcome back!

Having such a low mileage car is a wonderful thing, of course you want to stay on top of routine maintenance items (like belts, in particular) that suffer from age as well as usage.

Enjoy the site,

Jay

Thanks Jay-

I have nightmares about the the timing belt.  I have replaced as I worried about the age of the belt.  Looking forward to reading the forums and tinkering!

As someone who has recently finished a 50K car that sat for over five years, just get ready to get the wallet out.

Good luck. Bring the car to Florida. The only issue now is it's too hot to drive with the top down.

Enjoy!

My A/C guy really gets frustrated when us cab guys drive with the air on. I don't know why, he sells more freon that way.

I should bring it down to Florida! PS  I drive with the AC on even in Ohio sometimes.  God, what did we do with out AC?  I must be getting soft as I grew up in central Illinois without AC.  Dad never installed until us kids moved out of the house!  Ha ha...

My neighbor has one of those miatas.  You are correct in the mistaken identity of the car.
