Hi everyone, I'm the new proud owner of a very rough 1994 968 Coupe. I come from a long love affair with BMWs of various generations. I've had e30s, e46s and I have a current M235i which is an awesome car.
I've also never owned an automatic car so buying the Tiptronic was a bit of a stretch, but the cars rarely come up for sale here and the sorted manual ones are stupid money and this one was pretty cheap.
I've been a huge fan of the transaxle Porsches since I was a kid so I'm pretty excited if not a bit nervous on the amount of work this car will need. I'm very comfortable with all things mechanical (and the 924/944 engines are very similar to 80s BMWs) but bodywork is something new entirely.
Anyway, lots of fun to come.
