Flash & Pete,
Thanks for all your hard work and dedication on this project. Your timing could not have been better for me. Micheal Rose of Tillman's Engineering in Santa Rosa is working w/ Pete at RS Barn to bring "new life" back into my otherwise mint condition cab. I have had the car for over 7 years and have driven it a sum total of 452 miles - now that is pathetic! I love the car, but just thought it lacked that "fun factor" that I was looking for.
I was recently invited to be a test driver for the Robb Report car of the year (Basically, we hosted a dinner at the winery, so they asked me if I was interested in taking part in testing all 13 cars) "Interested, are you kidding" - I now know the true meaning of a nano-second. Anyway, after driving among others - the new Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Mercedes AMG, Iconic GTR roadster (0-60 in 2.9 seconds - OUCH!!) I came away w/ the feeling that I really preferred the styling of my cab every bit as much as any of those cars I had driven. It just didn't make you say "WOW" in the performance department like these cars did. That is when I contacted Michael to see what could be done.
Michael has spoken w/ Pete about doing the whole 9 yards - the Super charger, cams, exhaust, headers, flywheel, HD clutch etc... I'm in hopes that I won't long for that 365 Daytona Spyder quite as much when all is said and done.
Thanks again to all the contributors of this site - the information is invaluable - hopefully, I can share some tips along the way as well.
If anyone is looking for a Northern Cal destination Rally in the Spring, I would be happy to host it in the Napa Valley at the Winery (Flora Springs) in St Helena.
Paul
