This is my first post to the forum so please excuse any faux pas.
My '93's console hinges had come loose and I've replaced the small screwed on brass hinges with a new part from Porsche that is a single moulded plastic piece with plastic hinges. The old console had a piece a white rubber material glued down on the bottom of the compartment that I had to take up to get at the mounting screws. I then purchased a new console insert pad from Porsche but it also appears I need a small tray that snaps into the console mounting assembly (from Parts manual it's part 3 on pg 210 called "centre console tray"). So before I order this part I was wondering if maybe people had been removing this "tray" to make the console larger, maybe large enough to hold more than a single coin.:-). In which case I'll find a substitute rubber piece for the bottom.
