Fixing glove box hangers
#1

I bought two of the glove box hangers that prevent the door from falling down when you open it. One for each car. Got them from Paragon. They were about $39 each. There are likely cheaper alternatives but they work well and were easy to install. Coming from me with my repair skill, that should speak volumes! Sometimes, a few bucks is just worth the lack of hassle.

I need to do both my cars too. I remember reading somewhere you need to order based on air bags/no air bags. Is that correct?

As mentioned, that is correct. It's my understanding that all the 968s take the same type of straps, as all 968s have the same airbags. Once you get to the 944, the airbag situation is different and those will require a different design of stap, although replacement is very similar.

There was an article in the Dec 2005 issue of Excellence magazine showing the strap replacement in the 968. The actual job takes perhaps 10 minutes.
