OK, so I bought the cool looking
gauge surround trim piece from Jager Engineering. I forked over $73 for it, which supposedly included installation instructions. When I received it the only instructions included were how to heat the glue so it would set. Needless to say that is not a help. Has anyone else installed this, and if so how did you pull the plastic off of the frame (944 641 941 01) so you could install it? Inquiring minds want to know.

There are three screws in the top of the original piece. remove them and then wiggle it off.

Getting it out of the car was a piece of cake. It looks like the PO glued the clear plastic to the rest of the assembly with superglue. Originally it was supposed to be spot glued. Consequently I went online and ordered another frame. My concerns being that I will ruin it and be without a frame. I will use the dremel method once I have the new frame in hand. Thanks for the input.
