Gateway/Moab Tour
#1

For those who are PCA members, we are gathering 968s and other Porsches in Eastern Utah and Western Colorado in early May for a multi-day, multi-region event, which should be a blast. See attachment for all the details. Lodging at our chosen spots is limited, so sign up early to avoid having to find your own!

Registration opens January 1, 2007, and closes April 1, 2007.

Just got the attachment to work, so it's here now!

I now have the attachment on the original posting. For those who haven't seen Moab (Arches, Canyonlands), it's breathtaking. And...John Hendricks' car collection in Gateway is something to see.

Terrific. The hotels are great, and are filling up quickly, as I expected. Should be a great tour!

While we were having breakfast this morning with some other Roadrunner Region members, I passed out information about your tour and John & Elaine Rheinschmidt (last year Region President and wife) made reservations with their cell phone from the breakfast table, modern technology is great! Dave & Anne Stinchcomb said they already have made their reservations as well. Looks like there will be a good turnout from New Mexico. Bob Blackwell.

Starting and ending in Denver, I would think your total driving distance for the whole thing would be around 1000 miles. The biggest chunks will be getting to Moab (350-400mi), then back home from Gateway (perhaps a bit less, depending on the route you choose). During the actual event, the amount of driving is pretty reasonable. Friday, maybe 50mi, and Saturday, 150-200mi.

Hope you can make it. We have 14 cars in already!
