Gas prices

It was actually 135,000,000 Euros, but I'm sure the difference is just a rounding error to the buyer.

Just got this one today... it's funny, but of course not a fair comparison, because no one drinks 20 gallons of beer per week  ( the Irish excluded   Tongue )

So this price is so far ahead of the second place it’s crazy ..

The 300 SLR at $143 million is now the record holder for most expensive car bought at auction, the new top five rounds out with all Ferraris — a 1962 250 GTO ( $70million ) followed by another 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO by Scaglietti ($48.4 million), yet another 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO Berlinetta ($38.1 million), and a 1957 Ferrari 335 Sport Scaglietti ($35.7 million).

Gas price for 100 octane this past weekend at Thunderbolt was $12.61. I honestly thought it would be higher.

Do you actually run 100 octane in your race car?  Does it make a difference in a NA engine?

From one of our NextDoor forum “ neighbors “ .   I almost fell for this.. for a second ..

First off, THANK YOU EVERYONE for your concern.

I'm ok, just a bit shaken up, but l'll be ok.
For those of you who don't know what happened, I was robbed yesterday morning while filling up my car at a local gas statin . I have gathered myself together, my hands shook, I felt dizzy and I honestly think I was in shock. My money gone. I rang the police who were fantastic and called for medical assistance, with my blood pressure through the roof.
The police asked me if I knew who did it, and I told them,    “ Yes, it was pump number 4 ”

Did any of you gas price critics take a look at what the quarterly profits were for big oil in this country? Outrageous, its nothing more than pure profiteering on the part of the oil companies. The President of the US has zero control over this outrage unless he were to nationalize the oil companies and then everybody would be screaming about a Communist takeover.

If you are really outraged over this, and have an investment portfolio, have your investment broker sell all of the oil stock you own. Buy an electric car. Stop driving.

100% agree that the sitting president has virtually no impact on gas prices - does anybody seriously believe gas prices would be significantly lower if Trump were in office?  But to be fair to the oil companies, petroleum is very much a boom-and-bust business - nobody was feeling sorry for the oil companies when they were on death's door during the depths of the pandemic, or during other recent oil price crashes, but everybody is quick to vilify them when they turn profitable during the subsequent boom.

Gas prices are so high that I saw Dolly Parton sharing a ride with Jolene today to save money.
