fulfilling orders, inventory, etc
#1

i am rapidly running out of all items.  one by one i am pulling them from the "add to cart" capabilities.

i am stuck waiting on 1 part for the supercharger kits.  the cast aluminum elbows i have been using were design changed by the manufacturer, and they have been going through a Q&A process on the new production run, before shipping.  as soon as they get here, i can have the fittings welded up and get them powdercoated and in the box and shipped.  i apologize for the delay, but i had no way of knowing they would change the design of such a simple part, after them being the same for so long.

I assume you never sorted anything for non air con cars flash?

nope.  not going to either.

i came up with a design for an ac delete, but never sourced the parts.  it would require, however, that the alternator be in the location as per that of a normal car.

you could always pick up a pump and put it in there.

<sigh> sounds like the SC kit is going to be awhile. Oh well, at least its winter. And I have got a lot of other stuff done on the car, meantime.

It will all get done in time for driving season :0)

not long.  i have managed to have them scrounge up a couple of the elbows i need so i can get some of the kits out the door.  i had the welder holding on the arrival of the rest, so he could do a bigger run, and the same with the powder coater, but i have authorized a split run, which will cost me more, but at least get a few out the door.  i should have everything for those kits done about the end of next week, and shipped out shortly thereafter.  the rest of the parts are supposed to be shipping any day now, but they have been saying that for a while.

Thanks

Are the dimensions identical?

Will you need to test fit them on an actual installation?

Im fine with being a guinea pig, just let me know what to expect

I thought about installing it on my tip. But since I saw that blue 911 from bob I'd decided to go for a 911 as well instead of a supercharged 968.

lol - funny how that works

my blue 968 has been here for a while, as i set it up for the new owner.  i'm going to drive it on the 2nd, to take it up for another alignment, corner balance, and raise it 1/2".  it should be interesting to compare and contrast it against the new car, now that it has been a while.

the elbows are set to arrive today.  they will immediately go off to the welder, and then to the powdercoater.  once done there, i toss everything in the box and start shipping.

i have been watching the shelves at the brick and mortar empty out, and it has been an odd experience.  on one hand, i am looking forward to moving on to bigger and better things, but on the other, it has been so long, that there is a definite sense of loss. lol - not enough to keep going though.  it has been incredibly difficult to find the time to deal with this stuff, and a constant reminder of why i am stopping.

So I don't plan to install my kit till summer, how long do you plan to support the platform from date of purchase? I will probably have my mechanic do the install.

the head unit warranty is 3 years from the date of purchase from the distributor.

the D1R warranty on the rest is good for a year from the date of shipping.

lol - yeah - it was quite the process.  it took about a year and a half before i was satisfied that it was safe to run.  that may be a large part of why it has been so successful.  like anything, it's all in the prep.
