I went to replace a missing bolt on my "Variocam" plastic tag on the fuel rail cover and discovered that it was the female end that was missing on the cam cover. These look like they are permanently attached. Before I risk scratching the hell out of the cam cover and tyring to epoxy some lame @ss sollution in place I though I would get some feedback. My cam cover coating, what ever Porsche used, is a little grubby anyway so should I attempt the repair and paint the cover or just search for a pristine one?
I just spent a week polishing the fuel rail cover and now it needs to be perfect. Damn the guy who posted the polished cover and intake manifold, spent a lot of time polishing that cover because it looked sweet <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/smile.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />
