Has anyone used a fluid extractor/evacuator to do regular oil changes? Do they work effectively? How hard are they to use and do they remove most of the oil? After reading Bob's article on "The Mess-Less Oil Filter?" in the August edition of Excellence, I thought the filter and the extractor might make oil changes a whole lot easier.

I'll bet we get a lot of opinions on this posting...



The suppliers of these extractors say that this is the way Mercedes trains their factory technicians and I know that this is the way most modern I/O boat engines are drained, but is it enough to get out all of the heavy sediment/sludge forming portion?
