I wanted to extend my compliments to everyone who has created this board. It is outstanding and I am enjoying the new services it offers. I have solidified my deal with Russ(no fault to him, all my problems)and my car should be here in 2 weeks. I am looking forward to a great relationship with everyone. Thanks and keep up the good work. Bo

you can post them yourself here - that's one of the beautiful features of this site - no hosting required

click on "more options"

then click on "browse"

select the file you want

then click "add this file"

then click "add into post"

then click "submit" or "add reply" whichever is appropriate

done

in the meantime though:

Gorgeous! A few questions, how did you achieve the ride height (springs, shocks)? The gaps are absolutely perfect with these beautiful wheels! What's the wheel size and offset? Are these standard brakes or large M030 calipers? What other mods were done to this car?

That's exactly what I want my car to look like, wow! <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/tongue.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

Bruckner

is this russ's car from the bay area?

i thought "god's country" was some reference to a great plains state or texas or something like that - always heard nashville referred to as "music city" - fun place - been there a few times - always enjoy it

Yes I did purchase the car from Russ in the Bay area. As far as Nashville,TN being Music City of course that is true, but I am not a country music fan so I stay away from that association. We Tennesseans coined the term "God's Country", heck if it wasn't for us Texas would be part of Mexico.

I have to anwser a previous question. The brakes are stock, I am thinking about adding big reds, I would love everyones opinions on that.

hmmm - always envisioned a big cowboy hat when hearing "god's country" never thought of tennesse with a cowboy hat - how odd is that?

ok - big reds - big question - lots of arguing going on about that one - bigger brakes are better - BUT.....

they are heavier in exactly the place you don't want the weight

on street tires on a street car, you will never see the advantage of the increased braking - the abs will engage even on the stock ones long before you would see the advantage of the larger brakes - however, you may have a bit less fading on repeated hard braking, due soley to the larger surface area and heat disapation capability - you can get pretty much the same thing though with slotted or crossdrilled rotors and harder pads

if you are going to track the car, they, or something like them, area good idea - if you are going to keep it as a street car, your money is better placed in things like seat time, suspension tuning, seat time, rear springs to match the front rate (if you don't already have them), seat time, and more seat time

Honestly Flash, I don't think I will ever seriously track my car. I do however think the big reds will give my car a very good/aggressive look.

Do you think the big reds will hurt the car overall?

i doubt it will hurt anything - it will just add weight to the suspension for no real reason other than appearance

personally, when it comes to mods, i adhere to "form following function" philosophy, and not the other way around

if it's just the look you're after, then maybe crossdrilled or slotted rotors and powdercoating your existing calipers red?
