external temp display always in celcius
#1

So what's the secret to getting the external temp to read in Fahrenheit by default? I did some searching and have inspected fuses 11 and 36, they are fine. What else am I missing?

Is your car by any way an ROW or Canadian delivery car, maybe a default in the ECU?

And those displays are NLA, except maybe in a salvage yard.  It could be something on the actual circuit board behind the display.  If it was a fuse I would think the whole display wouldn't work.

Maybe you should move to Canada

Fuse 11. If it blows again, you may need to replace your 12v cigarette adapter.

Mine changes to either, but I think it reads a little higher than the real outside temperature.  Is the sensor under the hood where it is somewhat hotter ?

I think that the sensor is in the drivers door mirror at the bottom. There is a little hole underneath that is the sensor opening.
