Sick of my blue-striped pressure plate.

The 964.116.027.01 is the correct PET number, but when I ordered this one at the Porsche dealer a while ago, they would still offer me a blue one.

3082 213 101 is what's important; if that number is on there, you are good.

So apparently you found the correct one and a brand new one at that. Please share with us where you got it from.

be aware that the second number shown in the above post is the sachs part number, not a porsche part number.  there is nothing i have been able to find that requires that sachs keeps the same number on their plates.  i'm not saying they won't but the difference is only in the last 3 digits.  they may supercede their numbers, just like porsche, and not update the catalogs, which is how this started happening in the first place.

And if they start mixing the blue and green paint and put that on some random plates, we are screwed at the very maximum possible.

Why all the questions and second guessing? Just contact RS Barn, they know the difference and they stock the proper unit. Even Sunset tried to sell me the wrong one. Yes, it's expensive, but so is having to do the clutch twice.

Not second guessing, just confirming.  I received the written estimate from RS Barn for the pressure plate and some other parts wanted to place the order today, which I did.  Clutch kit without pressure plate also ordered from EBS Racing.  Thank you for your help!   Greatly appreciated!!  Pete at RS Barn and Troy at EBS Racing were both excellent to work with!!

Indeed, the info I gave hasn't a single guess in it. Those are the correct part numbers.

Quote:Lol, indeed the "made by Sachs" has become "made in Slovakia". I wonder who makes them. Maybe AVC Racova...
late but... what is wrong with AVC Racova and products made in Slovakia?  please do not underestimate.

i understand that is is maybe wrong clutch plate,  but that is not a fault of people working here, but maybe german managers.

Sachs made a factory here. Products are not done in some barn , as you may  think :/

I think that was a reference more to them not possibly made by Sachs anymore, not a dig on the Slovakia, which I have been considering visiting this year.

Indeed. Not the slightest intent of patronizing Slovakia or anything in that sense.

Yeah ! .. and it's not as if ALL German products are any better : just compare a Trabant to a Skoda ! Ok, sure you're going to argue it's the old East Germany segment vs. what is now Czech Republic segment .. but close enough , LOL .

it just felt like underestimating, sorry guys.

Sachs made a quite big(in our conditions) factory here  and is producing clutches for some years now and afaik, they are making also LUK products (which is see are better quality than Sachs these years)

Czechoslovakia had good name in engineering even during communism, altough due to policial robbing, most of the factories were closed and now we are "assemly line" for foreign car makers and companies . I think SK makes most cars  per citizen in the world. (Cayenne , Touareg, Q7,Q8, Bentyaga and some more from other brands are made here . most of the carbon  parts for 918 are made here)

@banditsc : if you need anything  while you are eventually here, just send a message and i can help

@ds968: Skoda was always Czech (or CzechoSlovakian before 1993) but along with iron curtain fall and inability to compete  with  western car brands  here,  it will bancrupt without being included in VW group.
