Two things - sunroof and funny noise
#1

My sunroof rear latches recently started retracting all the way to the release position, regardless of key position. Found this out on the freeway, driving along and top popped up. Maybe a switch problem?

Second, I have a clicking noise for a few seconds in the right front, maybe in the footwell, when the car is first turned on. And it is random, doesn't happen every time. And it doesn't last long enough for me to jump out, run around and listen. I even had the wife start the car while my head was in the engine bay, and of course it didn't happen this time.

Anyone BTDT?

thanks

Clicks in the footwell, sounds to me as the Motronic unit or the alarmunit. It is mounted behind the wooden plate in the footwel.

Maybe an electrical relais is a bit loud?

The clicking in the footwell is the ABS pump running and pressurizing the system. If you take your car out on some gravel and stomp on the brakes you should be able to hear it again, provided you activate the ABS system. Some cars have louder pumps than others, and when it decides to pressurize is random, like you are describing.
