Engine front cover.
#21

There are 3 covers under the hood, one at the front by the air box, one at the far back (I believe this one came in the 94s) and one just behind the engine that was mounted just in front of the battery.

uh - what?  there are only 2 covers.  one that surrounds the airbox, and one that sits just forward of the firewall.  there is a plastic cover at the base of the windshield, that coers the heater, but it is not removable like the others, and was on all years.

Quote:Yes, the covers can be found OEM $400 front and back. Not sure I would spend that kind of money on new ones. I would love to find some used covers at $100/$150 (both)

Post it in the "classified ads " section of this forum on the " 968 parts wanted " thread ..maybe someone here has a spare they may be willing to part with.

Uh, actually the back cover is removable to access the fresh air blowers, pollen flters and, I believe, the wiper motors. It was on all years.

lol - it is "removable", but not easily.  you have to break the glue.  it's not like the ones that most of the guys talk about, which just clip in, and were deleted in the later cars.

I think the wipers have to come off too if you want to competely remove it.

True, but I don't recall glue when I removed mine to do some cleaning and fabricating pollen filters. But, agree it's not the typical engine cover conversation. But I was finally more correct than Flash, woo hoo! ?
