Performing a "Blink Test" (Fault Code Check)
#21

Quote:The ECU has two data lines, the K and L

By connecting the k line through a bulb to earth you can enable the blink test on ROW cars

Thanks. Very mysterious to me! I'm intrigued by the 1-5 blink I get when doing the test procedure?

1 blink then 5 blinks is no fault found

Yes I know, but my car is a canadian spec 968, my understanding of your posts is that the blink test feature shouldn't work on my ROW car despite the fact I put light bulbs in the CEL sockets.

That may not be true, the Canadian cars have the same loom as USA but no bulb, they also have a unique relay and crossover for daylight running lights

100% Correct....968 designations are; North America (i.e. including Canada), and Rest of World (RoW).
