Yep I have been looking for any of the lights flashing and didn't get anything. I have a feeling my throttle cable is loose....good tip. I will try that and see what happens.

Thanks guys/gals. I am happy to have found an entire forum dedicated to this car. I am a former 944 owner and just moved up to the 968 last month. I love the car. This is still the only 968 I have ever seen. I live in San Francisco and see every other porsche around on a regular basis, but no other 968s yet.
there are a couple of us around... but most a little further down the peninsula it seems...

I too am trying to deal with some less than ideal gas mileage... watched the needle cross the halfway mark at 130 miles this tank... a new low.

I just did my own blink test, and came up with 1-2-3-1, so a loose connector for one of the knock sensors. I'm assuming something like this isn't TOO bad. But would the car start changing the timing on me in this case? Maybe making things more conservative? I still get loads of power, but I always run on 94 octane.
