I do believe the Rhodamine Red one was in Rader's possession not too long ago, but I could be wrong. Was nice low mileage example when he had and appears to be still well-kept. I'd definitely drive it with no shame...!

And can I tell you how much I dislike 19"s on the 968? Gawd awful I tell ya!

Horizon blue doesn't do it for me.

Yea, The Rhodamine Red looks really good imo. The rear badge seems to be color coded, perhaps the car was repainted...or at least the rear due to an accident? I'd look into that if i were interested in buying the car.

Horizon Blue isnt one of my fav. color's either, but after seeing it in person.....it grew on me. I'm kind of indifferent and the rarity appeals to me. The lady loves it however. I think the color is more fitting to a cab then a coupe.

Agree on the horizon cab > coupe statement for sure.

If the Rhodamine car was the one Rader had, I believe he had the rear spoiler painted to match. He posted it for sale here so the thread and perhaps the pics might still be available.

Man, if I came rolling up to my house in a "pink" Porsche, my neighbor would never let me hear the end of it!!!! I'd do it just to torture him! The wife would probably look at me differently too....

Awww, the PAIN.. if only that midblu cab was a Coupe ! Well, and with M030 ...but at least, all these sub 30k mile 968s for sale do give me more hope I'll eventually find THE ONE.

BTW, I've seen a horizon blue cab, live, and IMHO one of the most beautiful colors for the 968 - a lot more subtle and elegant than it typically comes across in photos.

Interesting, the Raspberry red coupe is certainly making the rounds (getting flipped) after being in one owner's hands for a long time (the guy in AZ).

As for the cab, interesting fact. Of the 34 horizon blue cabs, it is the only one with a cashmere interior.

Horizon Blue/Cashmere looks stunning. Being a 1 of 1 in that color combo is interesting.

Speaking of 1 of 1, I'm sure most Hershey attendees saw the Aventurine Green over Classic Gray 31K mile cab for sale? The wife was seriously interested in that car. I asked if we should sell the white one and buy it, but she said "no, don't sell the white one". I began tinking, if it is a 1 of 1 car with that low milage, may be worth a second look. Pobably shoudl corss post this in "My Inner Torment..." thread!

Darryl,
Ask and ye shall receive.

That cab was one of 59 K6 aventurine cabs and one of 20 in the aventurine with the marble gray/black interior combo. That is actually the most common interior color with aventurine on cabs followed by 17 with cashmere/black, 16 with classic gray, and 6 with black.
It was a clean car and has been for sale for a while now.

Thanks Jeff...I was hoping you'd chime in. I'm very interested in the cab data (coupe too, next year!) so let us know when it's ready. You have mentioned you were going to post it on the register site...if you can e-mail me the power point or PDFs, that'd be awesome.

If anyone is interested in details. I'm going to check out a '92 Coupe, most likely on wednesday. Claimed to be in concours condition with 26K on the o.d. 1 owner tiptronic coupe. Don't know if its an early car or not. Asking price is $17,500.

Will do Jeff.

An associate of mine emailed me the lead. Didnt give me any details outside of what i already posted. I called and left a voicemail....So i'm waiting for a phone call back. Hopefully i can set up an appointment to look at the car on Wednesday. It may be an interesting rare car, who knows. Going to check out color, option codes, & verify the mileage/condition.
