consecutive posts
#1

Just a suggestion, I don't like how this site combines consecutive posts by the same poster. I did a DIY post last week on replacing the side clading beading. I had written the article and took photos to go along with specific amounts of text. When I went to the post every time I copied some text and attached a photo it added it to my previous post. I ended up with one giant post with all my photos. Maybe there is a way to keep the site from combining posts. I don't know, but I would have liked to have been able to post additional separate, consecutive posts to my original posts. Thanks

it's a "time" thing - if you wait a few minutes, it will split them - i ran into this myself - i will put some thought into this - i think it can be changed - i want to make sure i don't eliminate something useful though - frankly i don't know how it could be useful, but before i go changing it, i want to be sure - anybody else have a thought on this?

I have never experienced this. But I agree with what he is saying.

I agree with jeff968.

I have spent months reading this site and find great info buried in odd places.

Can we also add specific and seperate 'engine' and 'transmission' and 'suspension' sections on the main page under DIY so we don't have to dig through general section posts to find info....

I am certainly not pushing another mark here but I also belong to an Alfa Romeo site. They have a very simple layout for the most popular topics:

Thanks

many new categories created - over 2000 of the threads have been sorted into their new homes - still about 1000 to go, but i'll get those over the next couple of days

also, i dropped the convergence setting from 10 to 5 minutes - let's try that and see how it goes
