Club Coupe Specification
#1

So Jeff checked my VIN out. Based on his info, the option code stickers in my maintenance journal & on my trunk...everything matched up.

1995 968 Coupe 6-Speed
L39C/WQ: Midnight Blue metallic-Marble Gray/Midnight Blue Partial leather

CO2: US Emissions
220: Limited Slip Differential
331: AM/FM Cassette
423: Center Consol Lid & Cassette Holder
425: Rear Wiper
454: Automatic Speed Control
650: Sunroof
718: Re-Vin

$39,950 + $823 (Paint) + $682 (Leather) + $913 (LSD) + $725 (Desitination) = <b>$43,093.00</b>

So i have a COA for every Porsche i ever owned. This is what my COA claims. (And this is why COA's suck)

1995 968
F8 (L39C) /WQ

Options,
-Club Coupe Specification <b>(???)</b>
-Model Designation <b>(718)</b>
-Limited Slip Differential <b>(220)</b>
MSRP: $42,368.00

So now i'm curious as to what Club Coupe Specification means. I did a google search and found a few others who are curious.

This guys 2002 996 Cab: Option Clube Coupe Specification 249/P05
http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/996/188...option-p05.html

This guys 968 cab also has P07, but he claims "GT Package" which was used for later Porsches.

Basically what i found is that PCNA claims my car has Club Coupe Specification & running the car through a dealers database will also bring up Club Coupe Specification.

So now i'm curious as to what could Club Coupe Specification possibly mean? it seams to be linked to P07 & 249 on our cars. 249 = Automatic, P07 = option 331 on later cars. My car is not an Automatic however.

Anyone else run your Vin through a dealer to bring up option codes, or have a COA that lists Club Coupe Specification?

Here is a picture of another 968 Cab's option packages brought up by a dealer. (notice P07: Club Coupe Specification 249/P01)

Dino,
I think this is a case of "depending on which inquiry tool you use gets you a different answer". Like I told you, I have numerous 968 period correct documents indicating the P07 was the standard cassette player with standard speaker package. P06 and P08 were both am/fm CD player option packages which would include the 490 hi-fi speakers and could also include the 494 amp. I'm thinking that P07 was used by the 997 based club coupe package many years after the 968 and whenever you pull up the code using that tool you posted the output from that is translates it to its last use. I have also seen P07 translasted to "GT package" as well.
Jeff
