There was a post here, maybe about 2 months ago tops, that offered a method on clearing the CEL codes. I can't find this in a seach? anyone remember?

Pull ground cable off the battery for a half hour to be safe, and you should be all set.

Yes, thanks. I guessed 17 seconds and that didn't work - maybe it needs to be exactly 11. No need to reprogram the stereo settings unnecessarily if this works.

Please let me know if it works or not. Like I said before, I wasn't able to confirm it because I didn't have any faults.

No go. Battery is disconnected.

Wires to both knock sensors (part of that DME harness that I have been grinding on about for 2 months!) are all cracked and twisted - I am going to try to have them repaired and reconnected. I am sure that's my problem as both knock sensors were replaced about 3 years ago and I doubt that they have failed yet.
