92 White/Gray 6sp Cab For Sale, W N Carolina
#1

Ad came out in local circular on the following today:

"92 Porsche 968 Cabriolet, 61k miles, white with gray top, rare white/gray interior, 60k service done, great condition, runs strong, many extras. $20,500 828-674-2664"

Car may belong to 968 member? Is out of the DC area being sold in Western North Carolina by his brother. I called to see if it was a 6sp or Tip - is 6speed with 17" wheels. I am going to try to get a peak at her. If anyone has interest - this is about 25 minutes from me.

Just FYI - no association or knowledge of car other than phone call today.

If I get a peak I will see what the codes in trunk are and post data.

Duckman - the car is in Hendersonville NC. He is out of town this weekend (Sat). I was hoping to see it just because my cab is only one I have seen in person.

Oops! Hendersonville is farther than I want to drive unless somebody really wants this car.

I spoke with Michael on car to see if he had any bites. He tried posting data on both 968 sites (did not register). I told him to send me pictures and the codes in the trunk for upload.

Should have the data up for this weekend.

I'm in the Brevard NC area - so about 22 miles from the guy selling the white cab. About 35 miles S/SW from Asheville NC

Nice. I used to get up that way once in a while but haven't in a long time.

If you make it up this way be sure to give a shout. I know all the back roads real well - some great loops around here.

Have been trying to get folks together to drive the "Tail of the Dragon" - US129 from NC into TN. 318 curves in 11 miles is a good workout.

I'm familiar with it but never driven it. I'd love to join you, depending on timing.

More skinny guys (and gals). This is the 46th 968 Cab made and is in the national registry. It has the recessed hood badge. Codes are: C02, 437, 490, 494, 691.

Here are some pics owners brother just emailed to me.

The car looks really nice. Do you know if the A/C system has been upgraded/modernized?

Do not know - you might give Michael a call. the number at top is his cell phone. Invoices might state or he might have to call his brother.

Mine is going in for conversion and new compressor Tuesday (hint, hint).

Thanks but I was just curious. I'm not in the market but I know that anyone considering the car should want to know.
