Mods- I can't start new threads in certain subforums- for instance, I want to start a thread in the nuts-n-bolts subforum, but I cannot. I can, however, start a thread here asking "why?"!



What's up? Am I doing something incorrectly?

You need to start topics at a lower level. Rather than trying to start a new topic in "Nut and Bolts", try a sub-classification such as "968 Facts"

I went to "Technical - NON REPAIR" to start a thread and no-can-do.

Correct there appears to be a permissions issues on the sub section.

i just checked - there is no permissions issue - you happen to be choosing the ones that are not available



"nuts and bolts" is not a category in which you can post a thread - it is the "chapter" title for all the garage related stuff - you have to start threads in the sections below it



"technical non-repair" was the old generic section that as soon as i get everything reorganized, will go away - until then, i closed it to new threads



you can post a thread in 968 facts, garage, geek central, mechanics recommendations, and tool time

lol - nope - that will also be a dead area



the idea here is to get people to put things where they belong, and stop the endless stacking of threads in a generic area, forcing me to have to move them on a continued basis - there will be no generic areas

OK- I would like to start a thread on advice for "proper" storage of body seals and such. I intend to purchase (already have some) the basic body seals (the ones for the rocker panels for instance) for use on my future 968 cab. I would like to know how best to store them to keep them "fresh".
