I was re-installing the power steering pulley onto the crank yesterday, when I noticed a small counter-weight. Since I didn't mark the orientation when I removed the pulley <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/blink.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> , I've probably lost the balance. I did notice a small dab of paint on the AC pulley that might have been left over from the previous timing belt change. I may try that for my intial alignment.



Any ideas on getting that pulley lined back up?

you could try and disconnect the belt, and then spin the pulley in each position and leave it where it spins the most turns

I'm just pulling this one out of my butt but, I would think that is to balance the pulley itself and the position wouldn't matter as long as the weight is still there.

Good point. Flash I can't spin it freely as it is attached to the crank. If I can I got bigger problems. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/smile.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />



Anyway, I just got the car running after re-building the head and replacing a few parts in the the timing belt area, water pump, balance shaft seals. etc.



Car runs great. Now to wrap up a few loss ends and she's road worthy again.
