What's the story of having to change rods if bolts are opened, this affects the early 968 engines. The story goes the rods are not made as stiff as the later ones.
I have my 968 engine waiting on the floor so now would be ideal time to do rod bearing change but if that involves need to change the rods I need to dismantle the whole engine and that's not my plan. The engine has 60tml on the clock and has good service history.

ps:We're planning to get little more oomph out of the engine next winter (can you spell Rotrex?) so maybe we do a full engine rebuild next year.
