a dream about the 968
#1

First ( ever !! ) dream to include a car, and it was my 968. It was having a problem with one of the headlights setting back
down properly. Not sure WTF that was all about - I usually dream about Diane Lane's "headlights" if anything, so dreaming about my car is ..inexplicable

Although no doubt some of you wiseguys will have a theory or two

I'm a psychotherapist, not going there.
Just enjoy more time with your car.

It is with great anticipation and exuberance that I read the title to this post. Some time ago I, like Dan, had a dream about a car. And, like Dan, I ventured to post my recollection of said dream here. Fortunately for all of us DS968 is one seriously funny guy, and his analysis of my dream made me laugh for at least a week. Funniest post since I have been here.

I must say that I am disappointed at the lack of both context and detail for the dream reported in this post. With the little provided we can all take a couple of lame shots at what is going on. However, to provide an informed opinion, and to ever have a slim chance of coming up with something as funny as you did for me we'll need details. A few questions to get the balls rolling.

Firstly, can you tell us what she, ehem, I mean your car, was wearing. For the sake of brevity lets call her Iris. Had you installed the clear bra yet, or were you still agonizing over the vinyl? Was is day or night? Details matter. If it was twilight please record that as the time of day can be critical to an accurate diagnosis.

Were you inside or outside? If inside was the garage familiar? Was the door closed? If outside were you alone with Iris or in a crowded square?

Was Iris still warm when you noticed the problem? If warm had you recently driven her? Did you notice any odd sounds or smells from Iris?

I think that's enough for this session. Chew on those a bit and get back to me. And I'm sure that our colleagues around the country and the globe will be more than willing to help you remember. I'll be here all week

, great post Siggy . Were I to remember any more details I would have posted them which would then have prompted
an avalanche of interpretations ( aka ridicule ), but sadly ( or fortunately, perhaps ) I have no recollection of anything else ..
but if it matters, it was the passenger side headlight

Funny, I had a dream last night about a 968 and thought to myself on the way into work, should I post? Seems like the answer is yes.

We've always suspected the 968 was the best car, but in my dream I was chillin' over at Stephen Hawking's house and he was letting me check out his Cab. I'm not positive but I think it was Coral. The dashboard was brushed aluminum as was the windshield surround. The funniest thing is that the only other modification I noticed was that he switch the front out to make it look like a 944.

So there you have it. Stephen Hawking drives a 968, fact.

hmmm....... was the light on or off?

Checking out the Hawke's ride - too funny. I can hear him now pondering the value of the D1 supercharger - "it creates a charge which though infinitely small is infinitely dense".
