Sorry for taking so long to reply. But actually I don't own the car any more. This particular car was killing me on up-keep. It was my second 968, and the first was a perfect car. This would never run more than 3 weeks before needing work again. When it needed a new torque-tube, I finally said enough. But I know the guy who owns it now, and he is enjoying it.

there has still not been anyone to the shop with their car so he can make the master of the kit and then reproduce it - as soon as somebody goes there, we will have a kit available

hmmm - well, without the car to fit it to, that makes it pretty tough to make sure he gets the alignment right



this is just goig to be one of those things that will happen as soon as a car that needs repair goes to his shop



he has fixed quite a few of them, but never stopped to make a template

Okay, okay. I have a snapped bow now and I'm in the San Diego area. I could drive the car up there... Any idea on cost of repair. The top needs replacing and the bow needs "repair". I have it in manual mode and still goes up and down okay but the top looks terrible.... still looks great down though.. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/cool.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

When I broke one of the main bows, it cost me something over $1k to get it fixed, with new parts from Porsche but the work done by an independent shop. That's why my top has been on "manual" for the last five years!
