For the cab owners
#1

Hi All,

I am thinking about getting a boot made for my cab at a local upholstery shop. As far as I can tell there are only three of the pointy snaps on the exterior and two round snaps on the interior. Is this all that keeps the boot on ? I've been looking for pictures for more detail but have yet to find any. I was wondering if the boot tucks in the front/back. Any info would be great, as would any pix. Thanks !

By the way, I was thinking about going tan to match the interior.

in addition to those snaps:

it tucks under the boot lid, and snaps in 2 places there

it also snaps down at the forward edge just inside the door

it also snaps down at 2 places inside the car on the interior walls

it also wraps down and velcro attaches in between the top of the seat backs and the underside of the upper chassis crossmember

I bought a tan one from "car top guy" on ebay. I was disappointed in what I received from him and the upholstery shop had quite a bit of work to do making it fit. All in all it looks great now though. It is a fairly high quality canvas material. I have midnight blue with Cashmere int and even though it's not a perfect match, it does look sweet.

Thanks for the info on "car top guy"...I was curious. Anyone know if OEM or a direct replacement is available?

Thanks for the response ...

Flash, found the other snaps and velco, thanks.

Smshirk, glad you like the tan boot to go with the interior. I've been thinking about it for a while; I think it will look great.

Darryl, I'm not sure if these are OEM, but I was looking at these -

Cabrio World: http://www.cabrioworld.com

GAHH: http://www.gahh.com/

I decided to go with a local shop because I like their work, it will be custom fit, I pick the color/material, and the cost is very attractive.
