An old Chestnut - getting to the rear speaker..
#1

Hi there

Sorry to bother eveyone, but so far have not found a pdf or pictorial description on how to get to the rear speakers - I have 1 side whispering, so think wiring is pinched, or speakers have disintegrated...(10 speaker option car)

Please point me in the right direction - re previous topics....

Cheers

Chris

you have to remove the side interior panel, which also involves popping out the window trim in the hardtop model.

In the cab, it's literally a 5-minute job to get to the rear speakers - but I haven't had a coupe since my 944S so I don't dare go from memory on describing how to do it. If they are similar procedures though, there is a procedure with a few pictures for a 944 over on the other list (R.e.n.n.l.i.s.t.) and you can search for "rear speakers install window removal" to find it and a few others.

I did notice that having the interior cab brace installed makes removing the rear panels a 6-minute job,... <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/wink.png" class="smilie" alt="" />

Window trim is just clipped in so it pops out quite easily.
