Kim, yeah it is tough seeing another car in the place formerly reserved for the 968.
Rap, did get the price I wanted, my Daughter-in-Law's Fiat convertible is now in the 968's spot, safe from winter.
Hot968, had about 25 inquiries about the car, based on seeing that it was going to be put on sale, posted on the 3 main 968 websites.
WJH, new owner just emailed me and he is back in Kansas. He said the car "performed flawlessly" and he plans on giving her the beauty treatment that she is used to.
Cosimo, yeah we had a good run from 2001 to 2004 with 183 968s traveling to Hershey for my 968 Celebrations. The 2005 968 Celebration in the Capital (hosted by you and Randi) was a great success with 26 968s attending. Jay and Pete hosted the 2006 968 Celebration in Newtown, which was also a success (loved the fun run with my front bumper almost touching Rap's back bumper for 50 miles - lol). I came out of retirement in 2007 and hosted 1 Celebration (2 days) and 2 Gatherings in 2008 and 2009 (1 day) in Hershey with 115 968s attending. My 968 Celebration records indicate that Cosimo attended every one of them! Never did hit my goal of 100 968s at one event but did have Matt Drendel's famous 1992 968 Turbo RS attend the 2007 Celebration. As you may know, Matt passed on at age 45 and his car was sold at auction for $325,000!
It has been great getting to know all of you guys and gals who love the Porsche 968 as much as I do. I wish you all the best of luck with your cars.
