Red '92 Cab in Dallas
#1

Spotted a red cab in my office parking garage.  Quite the rarity to see another in my building (only 15 stories).  Left my card as an introduction and met the owner as I was leaving.  Small world!  His car looked great.  I washed mine up last night and got a little bit of the shine back!

Pretty cool to see a 968 in the wild...very rare these days.

This is unfortunately true. Even here in Germany you can not see any more on the streets. that is really a rarity.

Would be interesting to see who spots them with regularity.

In the last 5 years, I can count the number I've seen on one hand.

Black cab in SE Portland ~2015

White coupe last year at the mechanic's

Red coupe (snova's, I assume) a couple weeks back in NW Portland

Never actually seen one being driven.

Funny how that never translates into increased value. Yes I have heard the price is creeping up although I’m not sure that is true.

What I know the prices are getting higher in Europe and here in Australia.

You don't see that many 944's out driving and they made a butt load of those.

Saw a 944 the other day.  Have not seen a 968 in SoCal a couple of years.

Yes indeed. They are rare to see. But..they are around. I have participated in many car shows here on the West Coast....and I seem to be the one and only 968 in it. It's only when we pull off the West Coast 968 gathering we see them. That takes 5 states to be involved and we get around 10 cars.

One other 968 at the Oregon PCA-sponsored cars n coffee last year. So that was 2 968s. Over 150 Porsches in all. Maybe a dozen 944s and 924s at the event.

Saw a 944S on the road this morning. First one in a couple months, at least.

Rarely see 968’s at DE events. More so at club races.

Just over 6 years ago I purchased my Red 1994 manual Cab...sunk 10k into it replacing everything it needed mechanically and cosmetically-then sold it when my 3rd born was incoming...the gentleman I sold it to put 1100 miles on it in 6 years and contacted me that he was diagnosed with cancer and asked if I was interested in buying it back...she is now back in my hands as of last week-cut to another 6k in a new clutch, tires, slave cylinder, new seat upholstery, a Hall Sensor, and a detail lol...but I love this car...you never see them as stated.  I know the coupes value more, but to me...the cab is much more aesthetically pleasing-and you can't beat putting the top down AND the 3rd pedal for driving enjoyment.    Enjoy your weekend everyone-you've all got some beautiful examples.
