I don't, but I think Autozone carries them. I fixed mine a while back and I think I got the bulb there.

Really!?!? Autozone had that goofy little bulb with the holder built in?

I have a spare cluster with a bunch of those bulbs. If it comes down to it and you can't find a place to get one, PM me your address and I can send a couple.

I may be thinking of another bulb, but I know I fixed that light and didn't have to special order anything. I seem to recall it was soldered in place, so I think I had to wedge it in there - a bit of a hack job to tell the truth. I'm not opening it up to look until it fails again. I'll probably end up breaking it.

If this thread is about the external temperature display - is there a bulb? My readout is working but is no longer bright enough to be read. I couldn't see any bulb on the wiring diagram, and since it's a digital display, I wasn't sure there is a separate bulb. Before I take that part of the dash apart, I'm looking for guidance.

Is it the same as the bulb used in the digital clock of the 944? It might be, because it's in the same location. Attached is the picture of the bulb from the clock. To the right is the plastic holder, below is the bulb attached to some metal spring holder things. Above is a replacement (Sylvania 2721).

The tricky part was that the stock bulb is soldered onto the metal pieces. I'm sure if you get the correct replacement from the dealer, you don't need to solder.

Hey Anchor-

There is indeed a bulb in the digital outdoor temp display. The replacement is pretty easy (I've done it 3 times over the years) and should be a no brainer. Good luck.

Direct replacement no solder. You do have to push in the bulb and turn at the same time to get the old one out.

Excellent, thanks. As soon as I get my car back next week (after the completion of its "11 years or 135,000 miles" maintenance procedure), I'll do the bulb change.
