Did anyone else get a package from Porsche today?
#1

Greg told me I got a package from Porsche in the mail today. I had no idea what it could be. We open it up and this is what we find:

It was a sales promotion for the Cayenne GTS with a metal street sign that read Porsche St in German along with Cayenne GTS sales literature and a test drive invitation. I remember getting a round tube back in 1987 which had a poster of the new 944 turbo with my last name printed on the front license plate. I still have it. I didn't buy a 944 turbo then and I won't be running out to purchase a new Cayenne GTS either but I do like the sign!! <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/smile.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> Thanks PCNA

Mine was waiting for me when I got home from work yesterday. Very cool. I also received one of those Turbo posters. Still have it somewhere. Now I just have to find a place for the street sign.

Go buy a new Porsche, have your car serviced at a dealership, or join the PCA. Fairly certain that all these will get you on the list.

I bet I'll get mine today. Did anyone get the Cayman T-shirt they sent out when those were being released?

Go buy a new Porsche, - Reviewing recent budget analysis, this is not gonna happen anytime soon.

Have your car serviced at a dealership - Does an oil change count? Outside of that I actually prefer private Porsche specialist.

Join the PCA. I looked into this a few years ago and it didn't seem that I would get much out of the membership. I think I need to read over the membership privileges again and see if I feel the same way.

The cost of the PCA membership is worth it for the magazine subscription alone. A comparable magazine subscription would cost the same. Usually the local dealers offer discounts to PCA members also. Plus there is the whole group of local Porsche enthusiasts you can meet up with.

agree on the magazine benefits of having a PCA membership, but I certainly did not get this "goodie" .. maybe the above criteria is not simply one of those three, but all of the above to qualify for the mailing ?

I wasn't implying that I knew how they decided who to send the stuff to. I was just simply stating three ways to get on the PCA mailing list. My guess is that they are only sending the stuff to a few test markets as the company would probably go under had they sent one to every PCA member, dealer serviced car, and Porsche owner.

10% at most porsche dealers. If you buy a $500 part you membership is free.

Although I have never used my discount as I have other avenues.

I could see this 10% discount as coming handy for alot people.

A Membership in PCA allows you to register your 968 in the Official PCA 968 Register (and attend the annual 968 Celebration).

See the sponsorship button above.
