annoying web things

Hey Flash,

If the missuse of the words "to" and "too" is your biggest peave, why don't we drop those words??? Replace with the number 2 as in I just bought a pair of those 2.

There now, don't you feel better already?

lol - nice orwellian response ryan

as for the rest, perhaps it does say something about the person - i am usually in a hurry, and am definitely too lazy to teach my arthritic hands to reach over to the shift key that often - i actually have to get up and limit how much typing i do before my hands cramp up (usually about 10 minutes) - my right hand, with its "aftermarket" tendons, is not at all adept at typing - even simple things like tying my shoes are difficult (some of that is just because i'm stupid too though) - i have had to go back to being left handed for many things, just to avoid the pain

consequently i don't often capitalize - i do use proper grammar and spelling most of the time (i do let it slip sometimes), and needed punctuation - commas are a big thing for me, and i think all too often left out - that pause is needed a lot more than it is used - i use a dash to break a sentence rather than a period - it's just easier to type - if it's not a name, i don't capitalize

as i said, i agree with the sentiment, and am certainly not the innocent one here, but i also make allowances for realities, and prefer to have responders than bystanders

You know Flash, there are keyboards out there (although expensive) with foot pedals which you can bind to the shift key, and macros, etc. Proper punctuation problem solved <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/smile.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

One of the guys I work with has one, I can get the brand and model number for you if you want <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/smile.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

Now he tells me... <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/dry.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> I better check to see just how tight my suspension's nuts and bolts are before I find myself at 160mph and suddently notice a bunch of shocks and sway bars in the middle of the road behind me .. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/tongue.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

For those of you who do not know this, Bob installed all my suspension mods <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/smile.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/wink.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

With apologies for the brief hijack, the thread can now safely return to the anal retentive linguistic debate <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/rolleyes.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />
