AC Delete and now clicking noise
#1

I deleted the AC (mounting tabs were busted) on my '93 with a DIY approach. Removal went smoothly but now I have a very loud clicking/buzzing coming from what seems to be the ISV when the car is hot. The sound will continue after the car is shutdown for 10~20 seconds and then finally die out as the fans turn off. I pulled the ISV and cleaned it - still working normally. Did not have this problem until AC was deleted.

Should the fans be running after shutdown? Does the noise have something to do with the fans engaging/their relation to the AC system? Anybody have any advice on what electrical relays, fuses, wiring to check?

The only part of that question I can answer is that the fans do run after shut down.

Just doing my part,

When the AC is turned on, BOTH fans should run, engine hot or cold. On Clark's Garage there is a full explanation on what fans should run under which circumstances (they always should run both, if they do). You can also find a diagram there.
